Good luck to ya Jay. I'm gonna have to sit this one out. I've fished in those conditions before (not on purpose) and have tore them up when the water clarity was good. Let us know how it goes!

Ya if I hadn't been itchin so bad to get out there I would just sit it out to. Just don't know how long it will be before I have another chance to get back out. Work is starting a small turnaround in about another week.

Usually the first or second gut. Especially with a high tide in the morning.

That's swellinfo.com made for surfers, great for fisherman.

Top waters if it's slick enough, a big super spook, she dog or skitter walk. Then I switch to either bass assassins or tandem rigged Stanley wedge tails or cochahoe minnow rigs. Sometimes I will also throw a mirro lure, 3/4 ounce silver or gold spoon or a new penny gulp shrimp or doa shrimp under a popping cork. Sometimes it also depends on how much sea weed is floating around too. I haven't tried it but I bet a cookie will work good in the surf too.

Sure we will what do you think lays the beach front down, little light warm fronts come through all summer and when the high pressure sets in afterwards the se winds become light and lay for the week. Light se winds in the summer most always come after a summer ne blow, the n lays it down and the light se keeps it down and pushes in the clean water in along with incoming tides. The best time to catch good fish in the surf is right after the surf gets layed down from the north blow and before the water cleans up, you catch more and bigger trout in the dirty stuff before the toothy critters come and crash the party. Once it gets real clear the trout bite falls off because they become vulnerable to sharks and other large fish that eats them!!!!
