Scatter some moth balls around the yard. snakes wont cross them and act as a repellant. You still need to find the den.

Cats, and also some sort of poison or traps for mice/rats. Take away their food source and add a predator. Doubt the snake numbers would stay up for long.

Get a Blue Indigo and it will stay there if there is water and food.

I've had 3 of those mean critters. They will kill most anything little in the yard.

I say cats...that may be all cats are good for but they are good. Since the yotes got all of my cats at my land, we have been finding more and more snakes.

Get cats to kill snakes and a mean mule or donkey to kill the coyotes that kill the cats.
