Seriously though: stay out of the passing lane unless you are passing... It's the law.

Im partial to "Baron Von Slows Down Traffic" Because it is two fold:
1. Its hits on your self appointed superiority to those around you with a superior sounding yet useless title.
2. It defines exactly what you ARE doing.

For the same reasons i like "Second Lieutenant Disrupting Flow"... But that may give you more credit than your worth.... I'm not sure as I've never been in the armed forces.

idiotic law! They never stop the one's they need to. MY wife who has never had a ticket in her life. Was cruisng down the highway and topped a hill. Saw a Trooper on the shoulder with lights on so she gets in left lane{that's the law as well}! Then the idot pulls her over for driving in the passing lane!!!!!!!!!!!!! REALLY!!!!!!!!!!! Then a friend of mine that drives a truck got in the left lane to make a U turn at the next crossover{drove less than a 1/4 mile} as he made the turn the trooper pulled him over for..........you guessed it driving in the passing lane! The law is only as good as the idiots enforcing it!

I have been driving 287 for nearly 30 years and I can tell you this, If we all get in the right lane from 7-9 am and 4-6 pm we will be touching bumpers!!!!!!!!!!

and then there's the competition driver, that drives 60mph in a 70 mph untill you start to pass them then they match your speed so you can't get around them! Hacks me off!

Most of them could probably read and write English in that area.

I can remember when I first moved to Tx. people would move to the shoulder of the road to let you pass them. Now... they stare in their rearview mirror and seem to enjoy holding you up.

I didn't move to Texas but I have this same memory.

Lordy... 4 pages discussing that you should not be in the left lane unless you are passing. I can see how this difficult subject to grasp. In the old days, everyone knew this. Guess not too many native Texans around. What the other guy is doing ain't the issue.
