Was it really Ayra? Or was it Jaquen with Ayras face? Or was the Waif actually Ayra? And Ayra was Jaquen?

I feel that whatever Jaquen was wanting either the Waif or Ayra to be is all a hidden agenda by the faceless men. Everything seems to be a test. I wouldn't be surprised a bit with whatever twist come from this portion of the story.

I think the Waif maybe Ayra ... possibly split personality. Some episodes back there was a scene where she was fighting the Waif but it showed her swinging the bo staff with no one else around.

my bet is that it was actually Arya being stabbed and she stumbles in to the actress she saved who takes her in and patches her up/gets her on that ship

Thats who I kept waiting for her to run into. That lady or Gendry, since they keep bringing characters back into the story. That would be a cool reunion and would impact the story.

Its been a while since I read it, but I believe it was left hanging, just like the show. That's why I was thinking Arya might run into him at some point.

In the books Gendry is still a black smith with the brotherhood w/out banners. He was never sought out by the red lady and taken to dragon stone.
