Thanks for the info Clint. Probably going to take a look again tonight. Hadn't thought about the moon not being a factor at the time the comet is visible.

it's been visible in the East in the mornings, my morning drive is East down 1488 and it's right next to the moon at sunrise. got some cell phone pics. can't see far to the West in the evenings

Don't think that's it Steve. I believe it is only visible in the night sky but I could be mistaken.

Missed finding it again I think I went back in too early. If our weather holds I am seeing it tomorrow.

I went back out last night and found it. Where I'm located it was just north of due west. It is dim and I was not able to find it in the view finder of the camera. I would say it was 10-15 degrees above the horizon. I actually barely saw it with the naked eye but wouldn't have known that what it was if I hadn't seen it through the binoculars first. Good luck, suppose to be visible through about the 20th I think.

Got to see it Friday night. We had a blast again. The local astronomer had several telescopes set up. We looked at the comet with the binos and then checked out the stars again with the telescopes. Thanks for the heads up, Bill can't wait until November.

That's cool! I have a neighbor that has an 18" Dobsonian telescope and he set it up Saturday to look at the comet. I didn't get to see the comet through it as we got back from a commitment too late but did get to look at some other neat stuff through it.
