In three years the daughter will be 18, and the last I knew that meant no more child support. Do NOT volunteer the extra $$. Since the court did not demand it, you don't get credit. Then when she does go back to court, she'll have proof you can afford it. BEEN THERE.

My sister is going thru the same thing. She has my nephews with her and my ex bro in law wants to pay less child support because he's starting a new family. They been divorced for a year and he wount stop bugging her about reduceing payments. My advice to her has always been to tell him to live with it. If its been mandated by the courts there ain't much that can be done.

Leaves me barely enough to pay rent and buy groceries.

Also a FYI !!! If your kid(s) are in school when the turn 18 make sure your X fills out the paperwork the Att. General office will send this to her... She has time to fill it out and get it back to them... Mine didn't.. By the time they figure this out it put me in the hole 1200.00.. So when they got it reinstated I have extra being taken out to making up the difference and two weeks later I got a letter from the IRS that they going to hold my refund to make up the difference.... I have mine set up on payroll deduction and it makes so nice when she calls me and ask wheres the money... I tell her to go call the Att.General office and ask them.... I'm on the down hill slope of this my son graduates this May and then two weeks later he's off to basic in the Army... Good luck to you.. I agree call and make appointment with attorney

It also sounds like you have grounds to show that she can't provide for your daughter, which would show a judge that your daughter should come live with you.
Before you agree to anything though, talk to a lawyer. I know a good one in the Ft. Worth/Bedford area if you want to PM me. He's on this forum sometimes as well.
