Okay the 16gb class ten resolved the limited video capture time. The Tripod accessory is a must have. Next up I will be testing the IPad and Iphone wifi distance control.

Same boat as some of these guys. Couldn't get the update to work yesterday. So get it updated today. Now the camera shows "updating" and has for the past 30 minutes. I realize that things happen but this is pretty frustrating.

I still have not hacked with mine. I'll pick up a good micro sd for it and get the update done before I do anything else.

              Good thread with good info.

The go pro can record upside down or right side up. You just have to select the option you want in the menu. Or you can do it during the editing process.

I don't have the 3, I have the 2. They both are supposed to have 600' range.
I tested mine when I first got it. I mounted it to a 4wheeler and had my son drive down my lane which is right at 200yards(600') long and open fields on both sides. I watched it on my iPhone until he got to the end. After about 50 yards, it lost the connection because it was mounted on the front and his body was blocking the signal.
When he got to the end and turned around, the iPhone reconnected in a few seconds. This would be considered optimal conditions though. There was absolutely nothing between us but air.
Using it in hunting conditions is drastically different though. It will not go through leaves further than about 20yards, twigs about 40yards. One twig or one leaf between you and the camera can significantly reduce the range.

What I've learned to do is to start recording as soon as I have the camera set up. That way, if I get back to the stand and lose my connection, it's still recording at least. I use a 32gig card, which gives me about 4.5 hours of recording time, and an external 12V battery, which gives me pretty much unlimited battery life. I rarely sit in stand longer than 4 hours, so this works great for me.

Mine continues to lock up and I have to remove the battery. I can considering exchanging it.

Here's the difference. First at 1080 then 2.7 pro tune. How's it look on that end?
