I am probably one of the few that does not have texting. Never have done it but me and the wife only use @ 120minutes a month on our phones as well. We both have had the same phones for over 5 yrs now.

I like text for the above stated reasons. I can continue the conversation at my or the other party's convenience. I text about 95% and talk 5%.

As Smart said, bad communication skills are real annoying....if they can't convey what they want to say or feel then it can get annoying. I never thought I'd see my parents doing it (they are in their early 60's) but even they text.

I hear ya'! Almost 20 yrs to the day I got a Motorola flip phone,and I know I couldnt text on it.Heck I couldnt even talk on it except after 8p.m.,and on the weekends!
