Larry Weisuhn's method starts with a knowledge of what the general "frame" score is of a mature buck off your lease area--width, mass, main beam length. Then you just add the tine lengths. I always used 95 as a base on our La Salle County lease, and was usually right on the spot. Biggest problems is with the exceptional buck--very wide, very narrow, or really massive, but you still are in the ballpark.
