Y'all have to look at the phone quality as well. Apple has gone to more aesthetics, and putting a fragile glass on a phone really isn't smart. The iPhone 3, had a plastic backing on it, along with a fiberglass screen, so it was more durable even with the otter box. The new iPhones have true glass in them which is easy to break, so technically your otter box quality hasn't gone down at all, the durability of your phone has for better looks
