    Lets Talk Chainsaws!?

I have been looking to buy a new gas powered chainsaw. I will be using it mostly for fireplace firewood cutting and light tree trimming. What do y'all suggest for something $250 and under on price. Thanks in advance!

I got an Echo 14" at Home Depot a couple weeks ago. So far, so good.

Echo or stihl. I've got both. And the next will be an echo.

              Echo.

Currently I have a CS-360T with a 16" bar and it's a wood cuttin' sonofagun. I like the top handle design better than the rear handle. It balances well, is lightweight, and has lot of power for as small as it is.

Stihl is a good saw, but won't re-start when hot. I have no patience with that. I've had 2 act the same way. Got rid of them both.

Stihl....... But good luck finding one in that $200 range.

My next on the list would be Echo. You may be able to find one in that price range but it is going to be a small saw. Personally a saw under 18" is for nothing but limbs for me.

Do a search. Plenty of threads asking this same question.

                        Echo my echo!

                          Stihl.
                          Stihl.
                          Stihl.

                          Can't go wrong with them.

And that goes for weedeaters and blowers too

                            Craftsman?

My Sears Craftsman has absolutely suprised me. Two years of hard work and always starts. 18" model was $200.00 with a hard case.

Guess I got a good one.

My dad had a Stihl for probably 20 years and just bought a new husqvarna and loves it.
