Here's a buck rub a buddy found this weekend, on public land. And for the record, there have been big bucks in the area over the years, but is very difficult to hunt due to it being a huge creek bottom with lots of squirrel hunting.
He took the pic with a cell phone, and forwarded a couple of times, so I apologize for the poor resolution.
The problem is that my buddy is somewhat the BS artist that no ever believe's.
Also, the rub gets real close to the ground, which I guess a big buck can do that, plus the shavings seem very large, as if a knife could have done.
On the other hand, it does look uneven, like where the gap is between the brow tines.
At this point I think it's probaby real, but with so many bucks yo hunt with so little time, its hard to decide what to hunt.
So, what do you think? Big buck rub or early trick or treat.
