I had a featherlight too. Loved that bow. Wish I still had it. As far as old bows go I use my 89 bear to bow fish with.

PSE Nova - 16 years old according to the bow shop out off I20 in Weatherford, TX. Since I have killed eat year for the last 3 years I figured no reason to change.

I have a 'Featherlite' from 98. She is all I have. Works great on target and pigs. One of these days I will kill a big ole buck with her. I can shoot release or fingers with her. She rocks. Have no need to upgrade. I do change the busings with every string.

My BIL shoots with my first bow, a Hoyt defender I believe.... heavy as all get out. He got it for free as a bday present from me. Makes more money than I do and won't upgrade, even though I tell him to.... I guess he is sentimental.....

I currenty shoot a 2008 Diamond Black Ice, but my grandson shoots my 1999 Mathews MQ32. He took a pig with it this weekend. New string, new cable and still shoots like a new bow.

I am having fun reading this thread. I thought it was going to be old folks shooting really "OLD" recurve, and longbows.....but no, it is just young people, and their definition of old. LOL!! gotta love it.

This old fart is "STILL" shooting a Vintage Damon Howatt Hunter (not Martin), and a Bear Super Kodiak "Black Beauty"........now, that is old. LOL!

You young folks carry on......our Archery future is in your hands. You all are doing a good job.

My own Redwing Hunter was made in 1962, but I've got to admit that I'd be afraid to pull it back, or even string it. The fibreglas they used wasn't quite as longlasting as that of today. Also, it's sat in a hot & cold garage for a lot of years.

2001 or 2002 Mathews Q2. I only crave a new bow when I watch my buddies shoot their faster bows. Then they leave and I get over it

some of you guys shooting the 80's and 90's model bows are braver than i. I just dont trust a compound that old!! But who know they might last for another 20 years.

I used a Browning Midas Hunter that I bought around 1985. I last used it on a caribou hunt in 2006. I've had 2 new bows since I retired the Browning.
