i use a 270. never had a reason to go with anything else.

All those calibers listed will do the job, just get one that you can shoot well and put the bullet where it needs to go and you wont have a problem killing deer.

.243, .270, 30-06 all work perfectly in my experience. But I generally use my 30-06.

Everybody is going to tell you to get what they have...very good rounds listed.

My recommendation, based on your needs/wants would be .270, .308 or 30-06. All will do what you are looking for quite easily. The reason I recommend these is because you can find this caliber at almost any little country store in the middle of no where.

And to be quite honest, you can never count out the old 30-30. It has taken down more deer in this country than just about all the others combined!

200 isn't really that long of a range for a rifle. Most any deer caliber will do

I loved my. 25-06 before it was stolen. Flat shooting and low recoil. Dropped the 2 deer I was able to shoot with it.
