    That being said, I lived in Fairbanks for five years. Beautiful and all, but wicked cold in the winter. Fairbanks is in a valley, and the cold air tends to settle in there. You get a cold streak that lasts 2 plus weeks every winter of 40-50 BELOW zero. The rest of the winter is zero to minus 30. Now, that being said, I'd take Fairbanks.

    Also spent seven years in Kenai and ten years in Anchorage. If I was moving back, I'd go to the southeast (Sitak, Ketchikan, Juneau).

      I've been around it and flown over it many times on trips into Ketchikan and Sitka, but never spent any time nor hunted there.
