I have lurked on some other forums but found any groups or conversations that fit. TBH just feels like home. Maybe because of the industry I work in, I generally don't trust people until they earn it.... Unless I find that they are a member of this family. When I see a sticker on the freeway or in a parking lot I smile and know that there are some good folks in my vicinity.

Don't know what role I play here but I'm pretty proud to call myself a member.

We have a good Captain at the wheel with a steady hand. If we veer off course he will correct it. Always has, always will.

The Foundation of this Village was laid out from the beginning. Violators are not tolerated. Which gives each of us the courage to share ourselves (humor or heartache) without much fear of being an outcast. Once each of us have that feeling of belonging (a basic human instinct) we defend that vigorously.

          That all I've got!

My niche ---> just a link in the chain!

The reason I love the GS is the members. The BROTHERHOOD! Great group of folks here. I've only met a couple dozen of ya'll but everyone has been great. The GS is also VERY knowledgeable on a million diffrent topics. If you ask a question it WILL get answered.

2nd. The layout. It's easy to navigate and easy to read. I'm a member of other forums but never visit cause it's a pain in the @$$ to read.

3rd. I like that most(almost all) of the members are from or live in TEXAS!!! It keeps the discussions more relavant to me. And if I need to meet up with someone for a sale chances are they're within driving distance or we get a TBH express. Seriously!! How many other sites have people picking up guns, bows, ammo, or whatever from a complete stranger and dropping it off to another complete stranger without expecting anything in return!? And not having the fear of that person just taking it and never be heard from again. It's a great thing we have here.

There's a million diffrent things I could say but those are the main ones.

                LOVE it!

All the above plus I think an annual event like Bownanza allows the cyber community to get a human face to face feel as well so you really know who you are talking to. It allows the social aspect of the standard cyber community to step it up a notch.

I know some of the other sites I frequent don't have an event like this or had an event like this early and stopped doing it and the community is not as strong.

Agreed, but I think its because of the franternal patronage for each other. Everyone that I have met from this forum, has been exceptional helpful, mods included especially Mary.

We have a very unique group of guys and gals, and I have seen a prayers needed threaded that hasn't been replied to. We all care for each other. That is not something that is common any more, but its thriving here.

You can talk about the same subject, i.e what arrows, rest, sights, stands, etc are best to use, and the thread not go cold. I used to frequent a forum that was like this but over time the newbies got pushed to the side when they would bring up a subject that had already been discussed. Over time it has caused that once great forum to become like a ghost town.
Why is the fellowship greater on this site? Cause it's Texas....duh!
Why is the sincerity of the bowhunting community contained within the GreenScreen greater than that amongst other groups? For the most part, we are all average Joe's sharing what we love to do and I think that adds a little more sincerity than the other name brand forums.
BLUF(bottom line up front), how do you contribute to the Green Screen Community, ie, what is your niche or role? I'm not sure I have a niche.....I'll ask my wife to look tonight and I'll let you know.........my role, well I'm just here to learn what I can and share what I do.

                              Hmmm, I don't think I have a role.. Except to get P&Y.

Here's another post to add to my count!

We should all buy into a chunck of texas that is for bowhunting only. I wonder????

I think we all share the same goals and enjoy checking trail cameras and managing whitetail, etc.
