Look up what an upside down flag means and tell me if you think he did it on purpose. I think the flag should be flown upside down today because our country is in imminent danger.
My thoughts exactly Sackett!!!!!! An upside down American Flag means distress, and, this country is in distress big time. I do not feel that man made a mistake or did not know what he was doing. Absolutely no disrespect in him flying that flag in that fashion.

      Bingo!!!

Summed this all up right there sir!!! He was not in distress but had made a mistake. Thanks for telling his spouse of the "mistake", but going there with a beat down attitude will get u smoked!

Booyah!!! My dad served 22 years in two wars and in combat situations in both wars! He would not stop, he would not even comment unless someone else did. Dad knows there are mistakes and/or wrong out here in the USA..........he did his part for freedom of "whatever you choose" as long as it does not break the laws of the land!

Couldn't agree more.If you look around at what is happening to this country I don't see how you could disagree that this country is in distress.

I think we are in distress, but I would never fly the flag upside down. Old dude here and still believe in, The Pledge of Allegence, and a Prayer every morning, in class, when school starts. JMO! Carry on.

A lot of veterans (me included) feel that our country is in distress. I personally wouldn't fly my flag upside down as long as i have the means to defend it, but respect the right of others do to so. Maybe after the next election I will feel different.

He isn't getting beat up for stopping to correct a situation. No one on here has a problem with him doing that. The problem is him wanting to do a beat down on someone for this. You can't fix a wrong by doing something more wrong yourself.

Do you honestly believe that the man would of issued a beat down. Why does there have to be so many internet police. I don't understand. I know and understand the freedom of speech thing. And yes I understand that it goes both ways. You have to take the bad with the good. But don't beat the man down for poor word choice. Thats his right, if we are taking all acounts of Freedom of Speech into consideration.

Beating down someone at the door to their house, better rethink that one. Im sure in your own mind your a bmf, but you aint bullet proof. Pretty much agree with previous posters, while it may be irritating and make you pretty mad at times the freedom of speech is a must. Either way, glad arnie got corrected. Id be lying if I said ive never stopped and had to let someone know their flag was flying upside down. It usually involved children or morons with good intentions.

Yes sir! My dad will be 80 in two weeks and legally blind as of last month. His flag is up every day and kinda faded (nope he don't take it down at sunset) and I really doubt anyone will tell him to follow perfect flag protocol as "everyone" knows he served his country for a dang long time honorably.
