Obviously the Yeti's are #1 for a reason, but I really like my cube 30 by K2 Coolers-- and mine it HOT PINK, so I can tell where my cooler is. Holds ice like all get out. I bought it after considering the Brute boxs but their has just been too many negative reviews on here about the quality of the coolers. And the pictures that keep getting posted are pretty telling too....

I always have several 1/2 gallon(cleaned out apple juice jugs) and 1 gallon(old sweet tea jugs) in the freezer. They will last much longer than cubed ice, or make it last longer, and you will have ice water to boot.

If the lip on the yeti wasn't there, they look pretty close to the same size.

He said that people were making the comparison of the 20 qt to the bigger coolers that are much thicker and hold ice longer.

Hi everyone. This is Emily with Brute Outdoors. We do have a few 20's for sale and a lot of our dealers have plenty as well. We advertised these coolers to be a day to weekend cooler but we found out that some people assumed they were just like our 5 day coolers, and therefore unhappy with them. In an effort to stop the confusion we had to make the executive decision to take them off our website and only sell by word of mouth and to our dealers. As you know we are a family business (Jeremy is my husband... And a cute one at that!) and we strive for perfection in all aspects of our business. We read everyone's comments and are working hard to have the best product, provide the best customer service, and have the best company around! Thank you all for helping us grow and better our brand.

I bought mine knowing I only wanted it for day trips or over night trips so it works just fine. I use my 155 if I plan for more days in the field.

Thank you for this post Emily. I bought one to try out the Brute line, and was too under the impression that they could have five day retention. Obviously I got picked on relentlessly by my wife because at best it lasted 8-10 hours.

Probably ignorance on my part, or failure to research. But good to know once again, y'all have stepped in on behalf of customer satisfaction

A wife picking on a husband? I don't believe that for a second!

Shoot me an email at bruteoutdoors@gmail.com and give me your order information and we can work something out with you to make sure you and your wife are happy with the purchase. I am a firm believe in the saying "happy wife, happy life"! Not that I say that to Jeremy all the time or anything....

I bought mine knowing what I was getting. It works great for a day cooler and awesome as a tough lunch box. I use it as a seat during the day at the beach, ice holder for mixed drinks at night and at work as a handy water and lunch cooler in my semi. It sits atop the tranny in the cab, hottest part of the cab, and it keeps my water bottles and samiches cold for however long my shift lasts that day.
                        I like it!

I rode for 5 hours and when I got back the cooler ice was warm water I'm getting a new cooler soon.
That was the story of my life before the Yeti. I could put ice in my old cooler and before work was over I was drinking room temperature water by the end of the day. The Yeti is expensive. I liked the Roadie 20 so much that I went out and bought me a Yeti 65. They are both indestructible. Pricey pricey for sure but just swallow hard and hand em the cash. You'll be glad you got one.

I bought a Brute 20qt a week or so ago, I took with me this past weekend over to Louisiana fishing. I used it as the water cooler while we were on the water. I put 10 bottles in it one day and 12 in it the next. I then filled it with ice, there were three of us on the boat one of them being my 12yr old son and we were in and out of it all day. At the end of the day I had enough ice left to make 2-3 BIG mixed drinks with a handful left over in the bottom of the cooler. So yes, it will keep ice, in the heat, with it being opened continuously. I don't have or have I ever had a yeti but I am more than happy with the 20qt Brute. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat and not give it a 2nd thought. If you like the yeti's then by all means stick with them, if you want something that appears to work just as well for a whole lot less then get a Brute.
