I wouldn't count on 2 days for the Roadie cooler. More like 8hr day if setting inside or back of truck all day during hot summer days.

24 hrs... added ice yesterday at 8 am for the fishing trip and checked it this morning. The cooler spent all day in the back of a ranger and truck bed and then 6 hrs in a boat on a flounder gigging adventure. It was opened frequently and I never added any ice. I have no complaints about the cooler and I plan on buying another 20 soon! I also have the 55 and 90 with no complaints either.

The Brute is perfect for what it is intended to do, it is a very solid cooler and you can buy two of them plus a case of beer for what the Yeti cost. I am not saying that the Brute is a better cooler but come on, we are talking about a cooler that holds a 12 pack and a bag of ice.

I would guess about 1/3 of a 5 gallon bucket

I used my Yeti Roadie for the last three days at work. Outside temp was 95-100+. Put ice in it on the first day and it sat in the back of my truck the entire time. I unloaded it and put it in my hot garage and the next morning it still had a lot of ice in it. I reloaded it and did it aggain on day two. the morning of day 3 it still had over 50% of the ice in it. Expensive but great coolers!
I'm thinking about trying to get management to give some out for outstanding performance awards.

What's the latest on the 20qt? They're no longer listed on their website, which is strange since even when the larger coolers were out of stock they were still listed.

I used my junk cooler this weekend. Filled it with ice in the bed of my truck at 5am drove an hour, unloaded horses and went to put some bottled water in my saddle bags and there was already quite a bit of melted ice. I rode for 5 hours and when I got back the cooler ice was warm water I'm getting a new cooler soon.

My Brute 20 did well at the birthday bash considering we were in and out of it a lot.

I emailed brute and they said they pulled the 20 qt because many were wanting a 5 day cooler and it was never meant to be in that category.

I ordered 2 to use as blind coolers and they will serve well in that role.

What I am disappointed in is the overall appearance. It appears that there were issues with the roto-molding process as there are multple blemishes. There are rough spots, spots where tiny bubbles were present and misshapen molded hinges. For the price, my expectations were higher.

I support Brute and strongly endorse the large coolers (I have 3) but I may have well spent an additional 20 bucks (I bought 2 of the 20's) and get myself another Roadie.

Here is a side by side of one of the Brutes & my Yeti Roadie for anyone interested in a photo comparison of the two:
So what did the folks at Brute say when you told them you wern't happy with it?
