Black Talon rounds are still available today, but with a better design. Just buy the Winchester Ranger T rounds.

They just don't have the black coating on them anymore so they don't scare the sheeople anymore.

It says on Wikipedia that they were not outlawed just discontinued. Not sure how much merit there is to wiki though.

Ball ammo will work just fine. Our military has shot ball ammo forever. It will get the job done. Most important factor is know your weapon and what it likes. I keep my 1911 loaded with ball ammo. Its what its meant to shoot. If I shoot you in the pinky your gona end up on your back

thank you, that's what i figured. i still went and bought some Winchester pdx1 bonded so people can sleep better i guess. lol. i figured, 1 in the chest, and 1 in the head, and who cares what type of bullet it is. don't make me have to shoot, and it won't matter what i carry

Shooting flesh is one thing but through armor is another whole ball park. Try shooting your defense load through debree and see what you end up with. A ball bullet will cut brush, a door, through a moving vehicle, ect. The indians shot rocks and got the job done

There are plenty of barrier blind rounds available today that are not ball rounds.

And have you ever seen how sharp one of those Indian rocks were?
