Another option is lift the door off the hinges. It cuts the weight down quite a bit. A buddy did this and made moving a large Browning safe alot easier.

(3or 4) 1" dia. wooden dowel rods.... spreads the weight better than golf balls (plus i don't golf)

I used a dolly to get it through the garage and in the hallway I used the little furniture dolly from Harbor Freight.

Worked great, thanks for all the ideas!

I moved my 24 gun browning myself, once I got it in the door. If the floor is smooth you can use carpet. I covered the entire bottom with those felt furniture feet covers. I can slide it wherever I need now.

I looked at that one and the fire rating is terrible. The floor was like 16 or 18 guage. You could dump that over and be in the bottom with a pair of tin snips. But I guess its better than nothing.

Not a problem at all. 700# safe slides with ease if you have tile or wood floors. Put a buffing pads, blanket or upside down rug under it and slide, slide, slide your way to success.

Seen those straps on TV commercials that work on anything and they are guranteed. But wait!
