As far as duck hunting the refuges goes, I wouldn't worry all that much about speed anymore. As long as it can run shallow and get you back there that is all you need. Most places now days are first come first serve anyhow. Kind of took the fun out of public hunting. It used to be whoever had the baddest boat got to hunt the good spots.
