Gator tail runs way to good on the hull it's on to do take it off. Worse comes to worse I'll just have to buy another boat for the long tail

The lake rig is a 1644 with the 35 vanguard LT I believe he's gone 25 mph tops

As far as duck hunting the refuges goes, I wouldn't worry all that much about speed anymore. As long as it can run shallow and get you back there that is all you need. Most places now days are first come first serve anyhow. Kind of took the fun out of public hunting. It used to be whoever had the baddest boat got to hunt the good spots.

Now you have to know someone who can take a day off work to be first in line.

I make my own hours! So as long as I get forty a week in good! If the weather is right I'll be hunting!

Best part it was given to me to use, owner had it sitting in the barn and said take it at least you will use it! Now how do y'all think the 23hp longtail will do on that boat? It's an early model boat and doesn't seem all that heavy.

we had the 1844 model with a 24hp honda go devil and with 3 people it ran around 13mph just me about 16mph

but would go anywhere i wanted it to. the 8 mile boat ride to pace track sucked a** tho.
