Since the big crash happened in late 2007, that would be impossible to do since the members that signed on before the crash's original registration info was lost. That is what?.... 8-10 years of lost info if it started in the late 90s?
And this..^^....I keep saying this in all posts like these but I must be on a lot of folks ignore list because it is not getting through...
So set the bench mark from the lastest know data available. Like the old saying goes.....if you fall off the horse, sell that SOB and buy a 4wheeler.
Upgrading is part of life. If we didn't try to advance our lives, we would all be shooting traditional gear. I say move on and make it better if it needs it. If not, there's always Bownanza.

You definately see the swing, after someone's been here for a while, too.
Many new members want to play king of the hill and sometimes it even seems like they're just trying to stir up a debate. Trophy8 is a perfect example. He used to be one of the mouthiest members, now he's simmered down and his posts add value. I wont be the pot that calls the kettle black; I was the same way.
I think it's just a matter of time ... a member either settles down, makes "good" posts (giving up quantity), OR they just fade away and quit posting all together.
Maturity, my friend...more headgear, the more content we are...I used to think how many points you have defines the status of the person but not so anymore because Ive seen a bigger picture and have cut back on a lot of things out of respect for elders.

one of the forums im on have a "thanks" function for posts. so people can click the thumbs up button on separate posts. i have more respect on there for people who have been 'thanked' versus those with just high post counts

I'm tempted to remove all post count stats. The reality is that there are several that post WAY too much. Royalty should be a function of quality over quantity.
