Dahmer, bad news, it is the HWY 151/Loop 410 Sportman's that is closing =( Really nice folks that work there. Patrick in the archery department is a super nice guy and very knowledgable about new products. Haven't had a chance to make it in to check out the close out specials.
I am curious about Dicks Sporting goods???? There are putting that in here in San Antonio at Culebra and Loop 1604.... sense a bit of negativity here about them. Any heads up from prior experiences? I hear that some of them around the country have archery ranges, but not all.... I had a friend that worked at one in Kentucky and she really liked the company. What's your thoughts on this new kid in town?
I've been to 4 or 5 different ****'s Sporting Goods in DFW. I ain't seen one around here with a range. I wouldn't consider their archery department any better than Academy. Pretty slim choices.
Well they are closing. Its a sad day cause now I have to find someplace else to spend half my paycheck every week.
One good thing is that I got me a brand new heavy barrel varmint gun for a **** cheap price. I now own a extra heavy barrel .223 varmint gun with a 4-16 power mil dot scope.
The store in Round Rock is not going to close. Thats a fact.
I like SW alot. Go in there quite often. Like Dahmer, I like the fact that all the workers there know me by name. I also have a gun on order that I have been wantting for years. Cant wait.
I heard they are opening a Bass Pro in Georgetown.
I heard it was going to be in Temple. Either way this close to Georgetown, I may have to get a part time job there just to afford everything that I would buy there.
My son (Fig) and I went to the Lewisville store yesterday and we both picked up some new hunting boots at 50% off, along with some other items. Also, we met BoHunter. I went in there looking for the AMS bow reel and naturally, they were long gone.
I was in there today not much left all camping stuff 50% off all footwear was also 50% off some ammo left at 10% off all the good stuff has been picked over.
