I know the store in Lewisville is about out of good archery stuff. Spent about $250 in there in the past several days.

Perhaps thats it Courtney. They had Sportsman's Warehouse jobs listed under their retail stores around a year ago. Now there are none but they do list jobs for their “Sportsman's Center” under Distribution Centers.

I hope that's true since that was what i was told in Dec. The employees at the Lewisville store were pretty certain that a move was not going to happen and they were looking for other jobs.

I was thinking about running up there today. Is there a point? I'm really just looking for some broadheads, arrows, maybe a new rest and some fishing stuff. Is it already picked over?

I was in Louisville yesterday and talked to the guys there. They said that the Denton story has gone the way of the Dodo bird. There had been talk of Denton store but it has been shelved for some reason. So I guess we are out of luck up here in North Texas.

Same here. I find that attitude in ALL stores whether looking for feed, screws, fish hooks or tortillas.

I dropped by there tonight. The guys at the checkout had two different stories, but they tried to make them the same. They basically said that there is talk of moving to Denton, but it couldn't happen until some time in 2009. Therefore, they are all figuring that the store is gone. I think this lines-up with what's already been said.

I did get some pretty good deals... Thermacell, HawgLite, Cass Creak hog call, Lumenoks and some gloves. Archery stuff is 20% off. The broadheads are picked clean unless you want spitfires or Innerlocs. They did have a bunch of bows and arrows left. The have a bunch of GTs, CXs, PSEs and a few Axis. Only two 6-packs had blazers everything else is 4"ers. There are a couple Ripcords and maybe a couple QAD's left, too. They did take camo to 50% off, but I didn't find anything I couldn't live without.

                          Plenty left... go get some!!

I hope and pray that they don't close the Westover San Antonio store. I spend at least 25% of my money in there every payday. The guys at the fly bar, archery section, and gun location know me by name and bend over backwards to insure that I am happy.

The store has awesome customer service. They are always greeting me by name and helping me in every way possible.

I prefer Sportsmans over Bass Pro and Cabelas.

Went by today.....50% off all footwear and camping. 60% off knives, sunglasses, watches and accessories. 50% off all camo. Bows were still 20% off. Hunting dept is 20% off and pretty much everything was gone except re-loading supplies. If you like Crocs, they still had plenty of the camo ones for $17.

I talked with the manager in Lewisville. He stated the Sportsman's will be out of Texas by 2010. Closest store will be OKC.
