Missed this when it was first posted although I saw the video on the other thread. Great pixels as always Steven. Sorry the deer did not cooperate, but it sounds like y'all had a great trip.

I hunted El Indio up to 2003. It was 46miles up the pipeline. Looks a lot Like all there photos but, Our House only had 1 fire Place. We had the same Back porch Too

Maybe the same place? I'm sure either Farmdog or Leddog could say?

We were looking for one of these.

But we had no chance of finding it here.

                        The perro had no clue.

People dance here, but not with deer

This is where the propane exploded several years back, so no deer here

                        This scout party was baffled.

This is where Texcattleman, Wade and Willie rocked.

I guess we could always ask the darkside where the deer lived.

Or simply get a deer tattoo…

                        Do deer eat cabbage?

                        Or garlic?

Oh well, maybe we find a deer next year.

I just talked to Bud on the phone as he and William are back on this side of the river. No deer yet. Looks like the deer all wanted to see 2008.

                        Stay after them Mark.
                        Awesome pics here!

Since you brought it up... I don't think I ever told this story but since it was a good 8 years ago...

We went on a beer run to Don Martin (next to the big lake holding US water). It's deeper into Mexico than we had a truck permit for. Courtney drove because none of the rest of us were able to.

We actually bought an open bottle of tequila from the guy at the counter. It was the only tequila in the store. We were happy.

On the way out of town we stopped in the middle of the road (no shoulder) for refreshments. As we were standing around, policia came up to us from the opposite direction.

It was a bit of a freakout moment.

Farmdog with the help of some wallet candy eventually talked the fine young officers out of impounding our truck and taking us in for cattle prod testing.

It was a minor miracle of sorts.

William was especially freaked out followed closely by Heath.

This image is after the cops allowed us back on our way (thanks to a sober driver). At this point we were back off pavement and Courtney got in the back seat to decompress.

The tequila bottle had spilled in the back seat but that was OK.
