Nice job with the pictures! You captured some good shtuff!

Thanks again for the invite. I thought about the dog crew while I was working in the freezing oil field all last week. Like Heath said, I can't wait to see what Mark pulls out of there this season.

When Heath and Ben got tied up, you were our next choice...

Unfortunately, since we have never met, I did not see your name on my cell.

I have been joking with Sika that this ranch is in the Chihuahuan desert.... looking at maps, it is very close. Then, we stumbled on what I thought was "baby agave". A little research showed it was (in my opinion) Agave lechuguilla which is an indicator plant for the Chihuahuan desert.

Is the last picture where you camped? There are alot of neat things to look at in that picture.

The lechuguilla agave is also used to make a local alcohol beverage known as either "clandestino" or by the plant's name. It is almost clear, with a heavy yet pleasant flavor, though qality and flavor varies with the distiller's skills. The price is typically $10 a liter, sold in old soft drink or water bottles. Similar clandestinos are made from other plant materials throughout Mexico.
