The 18 wheeler hit them at an estimated 75mph. They were in a ford expedition and the only identifiable item from the car was the wheels. The motor from the 18 wheeler went 100 more yards down the road after everything else came to rest.
I remember that Jason, was a sad day. I can remeber what one of them looked like but can't remember a name either. The reckage was at parhams yard on a trailer for a long time.

Watched this video last night and it made me encourage my wife not to make her 100 mile commute this morning, which she makes for work every other Tuesday. It was pouring down rain this morning when her alarm went off this morning, and I told her she should cancel since the roads will be dangerous with the heavy downpour of rain. It's just not worth the risk sometimes. Videos like this are a good reminder of that. She stayed home and worked from the house.

I see bad videos from time to time, but neither of those even become to touch one that I saw recently, matter of fact it I now use it in class as a officer safety video...

                  Man.

If there is one thing you can take away from this is that Life is precious. Every second we are here, is worth cherishing. I know it sounds corny or whatever, but its true.

Whoever this person was, didnt know that when they left their family that morning, it would be the last time they would see each other. Heart wrenching to think of the damage something like this would do to my family, friends, co-workers. etc.

Be careful out there, hug your kids, kiss your wifa, tell em you love em. And for heaven's sake, Pray..

I've been in the career of producing production vehicle for several manufacturers for the last 8 years. I can tell you with great confidence that there is not a production made vehicle that would have held together better than that Expedition.
