What kind of duck is this?

Their bills are darker pink, almost orange-ish but the legs and feet are typically a light, pale pink. Maybe the ones with orange feet have spent too much time in the South Texas irrigation canals, where you and Mark get your ice cube water.

I had a pair raise a clutch of ducklings on my tanks one year.
they would be on one tank one day and then the other tank the next, I haven’t seen any in years now.

I have them come in to my stock tank and to the chicken coop to eat my chicken feed on a regular basis here in Seven Points at Cedar Creek lake. Just as recent as about 3 days ago

Grain eaters. Mighty fine table fare. They make beautiful mounts too.
They can vacuum up some corn.

They are everywhere in and around our neighborhood lakes and they don't leave. They just keep reproducing. Looks like the only predator they have is the gators in our lakes. Now that yall are saying they are really good tasting. I might see if I can sneak up on them and choke one out.

Wish they would include a few of them to bag limits during the early teal season. They are plentiful down here at that time. Best duck I have ever eaten other than farm raised.
