Back when I raised hogs, we would give them b12 shots and ivermec, along with a few other things I can't remember. I don't think the shots actually grew the pork, but they did aid in the hog being healthier so it could make the best use of the protein I was feeding them.

I don't think there is a specific drug that grows horn, but a combination of supplements, injectable or oral is more than likely used, IMO.

It's not that big of a deal. I just figured I'd do a poll since no one wants to chime in (and get called names) so I figured some would do a poll so they can stay anonymous.

Not once EVER has anyone mentioned any drugs for growing or manipulating antlers. I have heard stories about other methods used to manipulate antlers, but never drugs. Sorry Tim but I just don’t think it’s happening like you believe it is.
        Correct.

And in typical RR fashion, he will not answer questions thrown his way.

“ plus all of the above”….ha ha. Quit trying to manipulate everything to fit your narrative.

Like CT and several others asked. Just tell us the drug. Surely you didn’t throw out accusations without anything to support it.

Who really cares if these deer are being juiced full of something or not. The end result is an abomination. Ugly AF!

Watch out or they will ask you what makes them grow that big then.

If nothing else, the ability to manipulate bone/antler growth has huge implications in cross species opportunities for bone regeneration in humans and more. https://med.stanford.edu/news/all-ne...dentified.html

I’m not a scientist, but from the above article, it looks like there’s some possibility to stimulate growth with stem cells.
I love the almost “Far Side” image of a research scientist finding something that benefits humankind and it getting stolen to grow a trophy deer.

Unfortunately, I’ve found no evidence of research on increasing the size of back-straps….

I am ok with my opinion.

I also know that there is alot of ways horn growth can be manipulated…we see it jn the wild.

things like poking holes in velvet during specific times of horn growth.

those deer that spend time in a head sling are definitely getting juiced.

1000 inches is alot of bone

20 generations of highly selective breeding and a freak was born. Kudos to the breeder but it is fugly.
