Daylight bite was really good this morning. Had five of us out and kept our limits of trouts and reds. Reds were cruising in the shallows in decent schools of 5-15 and were hungry. Trout were thigh to waist deep, right on the drop offs. Glide baits and tails were the ticket this morning with the calm winds.

F4F has mad skills, my live trout pics suck compared to his.

Thanks, David! Had some from Colorado who were down visiting a friend of mine, was fun to see the excitement of sight fishing the reds.

Cbarnes- I’m jealous never caught a Queen- awesome fish. And that tile makes my mouth water. In my opinion best groceries that swim.

Just got to the hotel. Class from 8-5 then headed to the water for the sunset bite.. don’t even know where I’m going yet.. I guess that’s half the fun, right?

Good luck this evening! Hopefully the wind will die down for you! It was brutal over here.

Made a quick trip this morning. 30 mph S S/W wind. Should have stayed home and mowed the yard but I was itching.

Strong incoming tide, wind blowing line the opposite direction. Clean water coming in, muddy water in the bay, lots of bait. No clue how many I missed, felt at least 8-10. Only landed 2. About a 17” flounder and a dink trout.

It’s happened twice now with this reel, I engage the thumb bar to cast, mid cast the reel tries to engage. Well that’s never a good thing.

Now there is a slight grinding when reeling in. 🤦‍♂️ need to take this reel apart and see if I screwed up the drive gear. Hopefully it’s just some grit in there but I doubt it.
