They should try working on offshore drilling rigs. Cut out the cuss words & it would be deathly quiet out there.

I watched the episode which ends with Billy Bob or whatever his name is getting back together with his ex wife. God that attorney is a good looking woman! I’ll be back.

I watched the first 5 episodes. The first 3 were good especially if you spent anytime in the oilfield. The last 2 episodes were seal clapping, hallmark movie, one oar rowing retarded with a capitol R.

Aside from that, it’s still Hollywood people Reading scripts from mostly Hollywood writers so I wouldn’t expect any of the lingo to be accurate. That said they also went through cowboy camp at the 6666 for YS and That couldn’t have been more unrealistic of actual cattle ranch life lol. Hollywood doing in Hollywood stuff take it all with a grain of salt

Maybe the EXPERT in that little blurb should have been in quotes. I have never in my life seen an expert anything straight out of college.

That explains it. Avoid college trained "oilfield" guys at all costs. They will get you killed.

.haha that would eliminate all the pickup scenes. What's a good Permian basin scene without pickups

Has anyone else forgotten that Demi Moore is also in this show? For such a big name, she doesn't show up much.

It’s because she’s unrecognizable with all the face work done

It's like a TV hunting show with monster deer and a 500 acre highfence. Something's got to happen to get those sponsors on board. Maybe they should have a separate show where the oil patch workers struggle to make their truck payment, get a DWI in town every now and then, and don't have enough money to go home and see the wife that left them and the kids that miss them. I'm sure that would be a rip roaring success. And then another episode highlighting the other character that saves his money, pays cash for a used truck, buys a house, and moves into some type of management or starts its own business or consulting service. I bet that show would do awesome as well. 😂
                    Nailed it!!!!

Good grief it's TV people. Maybe apply to Taylor Sheridan and ask to be a consultant to get all the little things fixed
As for the language, without it yall would complain it's too dry for oilfield

Having a LOT of extended family from Louisiana that works in the West Texas oilfields, i'll just say this: There are plenty of real life stories from the 'patch' to make a really intriguing t.v. series that would last a few seasons. And plenty of real life characters to base 'characters' off. Without going into too much detail, i HAD a family member that liked his cerveza. Young kid, with a very young daughter. He worked out there. He went out on a hitch, and didn't return home. Just disappeared. Investigation launched. About two weeks after he disappeared, his truck showed back up in the parking lot of the bar he frequented. Body in the back seat, totally unrecognizable. Still no resolution to the case. Working theory in the family is that he got drunk, got lippy with the wrong guys, and paid the price. Lot's of hard working people out there, doing hard work. But lot's of trouble for those that want to find it, and plenty of danger for them that don't pay attention.

I know another kid that was lucky to live after chain got loose on a drilling rig. Another story....

No doubt. I had no idea that was her till I saw a headline about her being in the show last week.

Trump is behind this show. He made sure Hollywood makes the oil field cool. So when we drill baby drill. We have plenty of recruits lined up.

Boss will make sure he's not touched again, with dad's help after dad tries to get him to go back to school or take a different job in the company. He will save the life of that guy that has it out for him, and get with the widow. At some point guy that wants to kill him now will bring him a beer. Much like every other story line..
