I think Taylor Sheridan is a little confused as to what a landman does, but all I’ve seen is the trailers. I tend to let a series get about half over for the season before I start watching it. I like Billy Bob, but I highly doubt we are gonna see anything like a real landman in this series. They don’t get their hands dirty.

I don't understand why it's so hard to use proper terminology to make a TV show. it doesn't change anything..

you don't have a "blowout" on a gathering system. you don't use roughnecks on production locations.

the hammer hitting the pipe wrench was tough to watch. There are a million other things they could have shown that could have caused an explosion. like maybe billy bob's son walks into a hot zone with an electronic device that's not intrinsically safe, blows everyone up.. then it really is his fault for killing the crew.

for about $5500 they could have hired almost anyone in the oilfield for a day and tightened up on the improper phrases.

billy bob's ex in the show is a smokeshow and I will continue to watch. and him telling the cop off in the hospital was about as funny as anything I've seen on TV .

I'm still trying to figure out the 1100 gallon oil truck that the company owns, also. It ain't milk, oil is measured in barrels. No matter what kind of barrel you convert from we couldn't get 1100g. Trucks haul 160-180ish barrels.

... and contracted trucking companies haul oil. Not oil and gas producers.

I thought natural gas or diesel was used for the pump jacks.

Not sure why this show is called “landman”,
but I’ve only watched two episodes.
