    Cut out Tea/coffee/beer?

I usually only eat twice a day sometimes only once . My normal day looks like , coffee at 6am black with a little heavy cream , maybe 2 cups max , usually one .

Brunch around 11am-12noon . Usually 4 or 5 eggs , bacon , or sausage, or whatever meat I have left over etc . maybe some cheese on my eggs not always , water with zero sugar electrolytes,

Dinner around 4-6pm Meat ( ribeye, pork chops, skirt steak , chicken thighs etc. Eat as much as I want of the meat till I am full. no sides unless its multiple meats. I like to add a side of sour cream and horse radish mixed together to give my meat a kick now and then . I add lots of butter and either Redmond's real salt or baja gold salt.

I have also started adding fermented foods ( very small amount ) to my meat dishes to help promote good gut micro. Kimchi, sauerkraut, are my main ones.

Apple cider Vinegar with The Mother mixed with water before bed .

If I ever decide to snack , Its pork skins, jerkey, butter bombs . Don't have the urge to snack often .

I had blood work done a at 6 months and all numbers were great,

Blood pressure is normal with out meds going on 8 months since I last took a pill.

Stopped using my Cpap after losing about 40 lbs / biggest benefit so far , so glad to get rid of that contraption .

It can be challenging at times , going out to eat and such, but its totally doable if you think outside the box .

I dont drink anymore so alcohol is not in the equation.

Haven't had heart burn or indigestion once since going this way .

Feel great / plenty of energy

Once you get off the carbs and sugar and dont cheat , your body will adapt and you wont crave that junk , if you do its mental .

What exactly is this carnivore diet? Can someone give me a brief summary?

And no beer? That would be a problem ...

Been on a less strict variation of carnivore, animal based, for over a year to get rid of my eczema as well as the medication for it. Since starting haven’t had a single flare up.

My eczema went away when I stopped eating gluten. Weird because earlier that year I tested negative for celiac, gluten intolerance, AND gluten sensitivity.

Everyone with problems should try an elimination diet for sure.

I think exercise, the moderation and rotation of food is most important

This is my plan to go this route and try to stay dirty carnivore. Plan to start with the wife within next few weeks. Just hard with 2 little kids. I feel like crap most of the time after eating so i have to do something.

                  Brett,

I saw that Shane has been on it for over a year now (saw it on the Whataburger thread). I might have to look into this as well. Turning 50 this year and need to loose some weight.

I have been on Carnivore for about 6 months with my wife. She has been on it longer, and we are doing almost EXACTLY what you are doing.

She has lost more weight than I have. I have only lost about 15 pounds. My cheat days are on the weekend and I battle the beer/alcohol cravings. Likely why I have not lost more. And we have not been working out at all, so I need to step that up. But like others have said, joints are better, back has been a little better and feel better in general.

Wife bought a Ninja CREAMi from Costco and has made some "ice cream" using protein powders and I have to say, they are pretty dern good.

I've been on a low carb diet since early July. Probably more of a hybrid between Keto and Carnivore. I've lost 25 pounds; although I wasn't significantly overweight; was 6 feet tall and 208 pounds for reference. It has worked for me. Although I'm eating a lot of meats and cheeses, I've also been eating the low-carb veggies (e.g. green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, etc.) and avocados. I also eat the lower carb nuts such as pecans, walnuts, brazil nuts, etc. Zero breads, grains, crackers, pasta, flour, potatos, etc.

I did experience some weakness and joint pain early on, but that seemed to have gone away over time. Low Carb diets also drain the body of sodium, so I also drink a serving of a Zero sugar/Zero Carb electrolyte beverage throughout the day which has helped as well.

Positives - Other than weight loss, More energy. Also, Zero crash or tiredness after eating meals, especially lunch. I also don't feel hungry as this is not a calarie deficit diet and healthy portions of the right food are just fine. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, so cutting sugar is not a problem for me.

Negatives - Expensive to buy the right kinds of foods and meats. Lunch time can be tough, but I've found that there are plenty of Jerky's and Meat stick snacks that are Zero sugar and extremly low carb that can be purchased. Amazon is a good place to buy some of this. Cutting sugar was not an issue for me, but I know it could be for some. If you travel a lot, good luck and be prepared to pre-plan meals. Not much options in the Fast Food world on this diet when on the road.

At the end, it's all about a lifestyle change. Nothing is easy. Iv'e heard people say..."he's just doing low carb", and act like it's easy. There's nothing easy about it. In reality, it's not just low carb. You are cutting out Sugar, sweets, cola, alcohol, etc., on top of the carbs. I will say that once I hit my goal weight, I was able to add back a few light beers on the weekend without any weight gain. I know others that added back a few carbs here and there without issue. The key is right out of the gate, be strict. Once you hit the goal weight, it turns more into maintaining weight as compared to loosing more.

I have only had 1/2 a donut since I started . I don’t do cheat days . I no longer have and cravings for any sweets or junk food . Chips use to be my big problem. I don’t drink so that wasn’t an issue . First two weeks was hard . After that it has been pretty easy . Once I broke the cycle of carb loading it has been easy . I feel so much better.

What's wrong with unsweet tea on Carnivore?

Nothing at all, but if you are doing a strict carnivore diet, you are not supposed to have artificial sweeteners. The sweet tea part if fine and so is black coffee. Like some have said, you can do a dirty carnivore and add a few things.

I never tested for that cause I never had any symptoms of it. That could have been it? The biggest thing I personally noticed was eliminating fruit and vegetables. I used to eat quite a bit of both because we are taught they’re “healthy”. I noticed the biggest difference in my skin once I gave up those two, it was almost immediately which has convinced me that my body is allergic or can’t process sugar over certain quantities.
