I won't penalize waiter for restaurant policy, we charge a credit card fee that 3% adds up to a lot of money at end of year right out of our pocket. Many will pay cash or check to avoid it, wedding venue. I know restaurant margins are tight and 3% can really hurt them.

      It set me off!
Never heard of that one !!!! When I owned paint business people would sometimes try and tip me and I told them it will, and did, go straight to the workers from me. As owner I wouldn't expect a tip, now our wedding venue one couple absolutely demanded wife and I keep their $500 deposit they were so happy. They wouldn't take no for an answer and we kept the tip. Other's had asked about tipping and we would tell them they can tip the helpers but not us.

Those tip jars and tips on credit card machines at those type joints kill me, no way am I tipping when only thing that happens is they bring food to table.

I'll tip at those places like I do at Sonic... a buck or two at best.

I’m rebelling against the bigger picture, if there is collateral damage so be it.

”They” want to go to non-contact cashless society then charge for the imposed sometimes mandatory “convenience” 🤣😂🤣

I’m the guy that will pay with a sack of pennies if need to prove a point, done it before, will do it again.
