Best Game Meat

One that I love that hasn't been mentioned is Fallow....taste like a cross between beef and venison.

I liked fallow better than Black buck, axis and Nilgai.

It's a toss up for me between caribou and kudu as number 1. Then comes axis and finally mule deer. Whitetail is on the low end of the meat preference.

I really like ground bison too, is much better than beef.

I have not tried some of the others that people have listened but Oryx is number one for me followed by axis or elk (tossup depending on the particular taste I want). Antelope is somewhere in the mix around elk and axis. The meat for me was really good and kind of halfway between whitetail and beef but it has a unique smell that I have not gotten used to yet. Whitetail would be behind these will mule deer and blackbuck taking up the end.

As far as birds sandhill is hard to beat (even though its closer to a game animal than bird meat) followed by pheasant.

We've really been enjoying the elk meat from the bull I shot last year. I'll be sad when it's gone. Just great tasting protein-packed heaven.

We ate every kind of meat, while on safari. 2-3 diff meats every day.

Yeah...but that alternating dark and light meat between each bite is hard to get used to.
