Yes it does. Can tell a big difference between the wt we eat here in tx vrs the wt in KS. That corn and soybeans makes a big difference!

I know only 2 people first hand that ate Nilgai and both said they are very overrated. They even said whitetail are better. I have never tasted it so I can’t say for myself. My personal experience top 2 are quail and axis.

You were told some bad info. I’ve had servings off many different Nilgai, consistently my favorite game meat out there.

Axis is better than Elk and WT in my opinion. I do enjoy javelina more than WT or wild hog, Quail's awesome but hard to come by in the panhandle lately.

I rate wild turkey meat over elk, axis, dove, quail, wt deer. It's the best.

Last year and this year are looking awesome for quail on our place! More than I've seen in at least 5 years

Hard to say what’s “best” because so many are delicious. Especially in the exotic breeds.

I’ve never tried nilgai but the ranch manager where I used to work came from the King Ranch where they ate it all the time. We had some oryx steaks one night and he said it’s the only thing he’s ever had that was better than nilgai. It was probably the best I’ve ever had as well but have heard kudu and eland are just as good or better.

I might get laughed at but here goes......

My immediate family and myself liked the mule deer my son shot at Yoakum Dunes (draw hunt) better than axis, elk, whitetail, turkey and hog. I wrote those in order of our preference.

Those are the big game animals we've gotten and had the privilege to eat. Have not tried any of the others that have been mentioned.
