I’ve driven full size trucks all my life, mainly an F150 4x4. I have a gas sipper car I use for work. I’m really thinking about a Taco, maybe a year or two old. I’d like some feedback from those who have/had one.

i have a 2016 V6 tacoma, 4x4, 4 door truck. i love the 23 miles per gallon when i am conservative on the road at 65. it works for me for now, i dont carry anyone else very often, the short bed kinda stinks when you need to move stuff, but i have a older chevy 2500 with the long bed and the 6.0 for hauling when needed. just be aware, the dealerships really love the trucks ( they price them up there ) i am torn on what the next truck might be, kids all grown up, finishing college, but i love my current truck.

I'm on my 3rd one now--a 2013 PreRunner which has 110k miles. Bought it used with 25k on it and all I have done since then is front brake rotors and recently an AC line replacement and charge. It's a 4 cyl auto and a base model-no cruise, no intermittent wipers, etc. Does any and all I need it to do. I'm an old guy and am thinking this will be my last truck as I only drive about 10k per year. If I had to replace it, it would be another Taco for sure.

I put 200k on a 2009 and now have about 115k on a 2018. It is the perfect size for me. I don’t tow anything bigger than a utility trailer and I almost never have anyone in the back seat. Very capable in 4x4. That being said, from reading reviews I would seriously consider a Frontier if I was buying a new midsize

So if you buy a Tacoma, plan on spending $400 for programming to make it the truck its supposed to be. If you drive hills like I do you will be wanting to set it on fire if you don’t!
