I have been offshore many times, but never for tuna, or overnight. Is this the one where you fish all night and sleep all day?

Do you need your own gear or can you rent? I've been wanting to do one of these but want to go on one or two before dropping the coin on the right stuff. Rod/reel wise of course, happy to invest in some lures/jigs

When I went it was fish all the time unless the boat was on the move to a new spot!!!! Best fishing trip I have ever been on!!!!!!

You don't need gear, we went 1st trip with nothing. Everyone shares plus boat has equipment to use.

Everyone signs up to bring different stuff and it is all shared between the group and crew

Main target is yellowfin tuna but no telling what you will catch. We loaded the boat with YFT and had a 400+# kicker marlin last year

Chuck has a spreadsheet he sends out with all the info and keep track of who is bringing what as far as food. He has been doing this for years and has things organized.

I talked to doug ( tbh doug ), he usually goes on these and says it's a great trip and the dates are good ( something about the moon )

I don't know who all is going, but have fished and/or hunted with many of the regulars and everyone is easy to get along with and good guys.
