Sounds like a good plan is coming together!! Pretty awesome that you had to come home to get clothes for Janie to wear home.... tomorrow!! When my bride had hers done, it was during that covid crap and they would not let me stay with her... I had to drop her off at the sports medicine clinic at Hermann in the Woodlands at 6:00 AM... At 5:30 PM that same day, she walked into our home under her own power with a walker!! Absolutely amazing what they can do now a days!!
Will pray for her (and you) again in the morning... God Bless y'all!

Sorry if I mislead you Charlie, but the surgery is tomorrow. I expect they will send her home the next day though. They don’t keep anybody very long nowadays. My friend of many years, just about her age, has been back at work now for a couple months after having the full hip replacement. He kinda told me what to expect. Gotta say though, when they x-rayed her in the room, I saw the x-ray still on the machine as they wheeled it out and nothing about it looked good. Femur broken into with about what looked like a half inch gap. That’s when my hope that it was just a bad bruise evaporated. Could have been worse though, she could have hit her head on something and really been badly hurt.

Talked with doctor this morning. She is headed to surgery now. Doc said according to how she does could be as many as three days or as little as two. I’m just glad to see it moving. I’m sure she didn’t have a comfortable night. Thanks again for your prayers and offers of personal help. My best friend for the last 25/30 years and his wife are on their way to wait with me. Janie’s sis will be here this afternoon some time. I’ll update when she gets out of surgery.
