You guys that are running 5-10 tactacams what are you paying for unlimited pics ? Looks to be $120 per year for the first camera and $96 per year for each camera after that. I’m running 6 Coverts and the first camera is $50 for 3months with 50,000 pics then $5 per month for each additional camera. I’ll run them for six months for $200. It would cost me $600 with Tactacams and I can’t do the next plan down. It’s 500 pics per month, I’m getting 100 pics per night on most of my cameras.

I did not realize that is how it works............something to consider for sure when I am needing 10 to 15 cameras.

        thanks for everyone’s inputs
Any value in doing a group buy? Used to do that alot on TBH back in early days.

Plus I can move any camera anywhere, even take it across the county, and not have to worry about how it will affect the others

Been running a couple Moultrie Mobile Edges for the past couple years. No issues. App is great.

Threw the SpyPoint in the trash.

No kidding, I did not think it would be that much either, 15 cameras at 100.00 each a year, not sure what I will do now, may just run them half the year.

I am running 5 at the base level. $5/camera/month gets you 250 pictures per camera (1250 pics per month for me). I never go over but there is an "overage" option.
I don't have any of mine on feeders so I don't need unlimited pictures but I can see where that would be costly

This is one reason I branched out and tried the blackgate camera. It is the same quality (if not better) and I spend 6-7$ a month vs 13$. I actually think the blackgate takes better pictures and I personally have mixed reviews with Tactacam's customer service over the years.

I am with you, I don't need nor want that many dang pictures of nothing that will hang around in the woods.

Just went thru most of their website. Definitely seems legit. I did notice that the solar panel is not internal to the unit however. I think Tactacam is all one unit..........from what I think I learned on this thread, I could be wrong. I also noticed they sell a cable that is rodent proof which is good as I noticed folks talking about that issue on this thread also.

My buddy just told me about these. Serious price tag however, but anybody familiar???
Spartan Camera is the most sophisticated wireless scouting camera solution. You don't have to be there!

I have two of them, but one no longer functions as a cell camera……maybe. When I got the first one it was for a hog trap and they notified me that at some point it would no longer be a cell cam but would still function as a trail cam. They gave me a good discount on one that would work on 5G but as we all know 5G ain’t a thang everywhere. It’s mostly in the towns where I’m not going to have a camera. That said, it is a great camera, just pretty pricey. Excellent pictures, delivered instantly.

I believe you are correct. You might be slightly careful on the integrated solar panels. We have several in South Texas where I guide and they cannot keep up with the pictures per day and die pretty dang quick. They have the lithium battery pack so we have to take them out and charge them to get them running again. The number of pictures is pretty high down there so that might not be the case for everyone but external panels definitely will charge more than the integrated ones.
