I have two Moultries, they will connect to whatever network is available in the area. I’ve only had them a few months but they’ve been good so far. One was taking lots of pics, so I put a lithium battery pack and solar charger on it, the other one still has plenty of juice left. I like the fact that you can toggle between plans, check battery life, etc. from your phone or tablet. So far, so good.

I need 15 cameras, been doing quite a bit of research, thinking tactacam will be the choice, probably use the 12 v battery with built in solar, it all comes in a nice neat box, cannot remember the name but i think they cost about 70.00.

Following...........need about 10 that can be interconnected or whatever it is called. Keep putting it off as it is not an emergency ........plus waiting on all the bugs to worked out that people tend to mention.

The general consensus thus far seems to be that the Tactacam is the best choice, I did see on on their website they sell bundles with two cameras and some accessories.

I’ve been running 13 CuddeLinks on one monthly plan for three years. Little bit of a pain to set up, but a really sweet system for running a lot of cams.

I can vouch for Tactacam's customer service.

I recently sent one back to have the repaired (out of warranty), they charged me $22.72 for the repair and covered the return shipping.

I have one running with a tactacam solar panel that's up in a tree above my feed pen.

The other is on the ground, plugged into an ammo box which contains a feeder battery that feeds the camera through the port on the bottom (no exposed wires).

I also added this redneck rigged sunshade to cover the unit. - which is what the repair was about- sun beat Fresnel lens had cracked and was falling out.
I sent it in knowing if the water that found its way inside through the lens caused an irreparable issue I would be able to trade the camera in at a discount vs buying new.

Here are their trade in options-

We can upgrade you to one of the following:
REVEAL X 2.0 for $75 plus tax and $5.99 for Shipping
REVEAL X-Pro for $100 plus tax and $5.99 for Shipping

So for those of you broken units laying around, ^ is an option to replace.

Here is my attempt at a sunshade on my ground mounted camera -
(that is just dirt on the left sensor)

Ground level photo's are neat, but every bird paying a visit will trigger a photo so I have it at a 10 minute between picture interval.
It stays on the lowest sensitivity setting, but will still trigger on birds and squirrels and coons and chipmunks (rock squirrel I think) all day long.

(BTW, that barrel feeder is my back-up to the directional located behind the camera.)

I had Cudde Link system and it was good

Currently running 5 Tactacams and paying less and very happy with performance

Plus I can move any camera anywhere, even take it across the county, and not have to worry about how it will affect the others

I think I’ll finally purchase a cell camera. Tactacam seems to be the choice of TBHers, that’s enough for me.

Im worn out on driving and checking sd cards and bumping deer. Purchasing cell cams should save me time & money.

                      thanks for everyone’s inputs

What are y'all using to mount the Tactacam to a t-post?

We use the HME T post mounts on most of ours. They do good as long as you have them in an area where livestock cannot get to.

I have really been liking my browning cell cams I’ve had a few times where I watched deer around a feeder and got no pics on the camera

This is my experience as well with the Tactacams.

Its more of a sample of what is going on.

As far as mounts- out of reach of cows became my path as the cows our rancher keeps are hungry enough to eat anything that is chewable. The antennas are evidently made from twizzler stick flavored plastic.

The straps and cable between the camera and solar panel must taste delicious as they are favorites as well.
