My 18v stuff won’t die so I’m dragging my feet on moving to 20v. My uncles dewalt pole saw and small chainsaw are about to push me over the edge. With those two we trim so much mesquite/brush and it’s zero effort

I am a fan of the 40v limb cutter. It has done very well for me since getting it a couple years ago.

I have Dewalt 20v tools and the batteries are horrible. Have had to replace all of them with generic off brand batteries. Losing faith in Dewalt.

I am going to get a new battery for my GW.
Do regular chainsaw repair places also work on electric models? I have dogged out my pole saw, small chainsaw and even the bigger chainsaw from GW.......all my fault but willing to fix them back up as the convience is truly stellar as noted a few times on this thread. I have never really used my GW weed eater as I tend to weed eat with herbicide......lol!!!

I have the dewalt pole saw and chain saw and have been pleased with performance. My only complaint on both tools is that they have to be stored with the bar oil cap facing straight up or they will leak.

              That's funny.

That's pretty solid these days with all this inflation going on. You might want to see about getting another battery depending on how much you use it. I have two and only need it when I am clearing/trimming roads at the deer lease.

If you plan on traveling with it to use like at a lease or your own property, add one of these bags to your list. It makes a nice carrying case for the bed of the truck and keept everything handy and organized. I have my pole saw, the extension, 2 batteries, the charger, a flathead screwdriver for the chain and a file to touch up the chain. Only thing I don't keep in it is the bar and chain oil since those bottles leak on their side.

I've been really pleased with my Dewalt pole saw and 12" chainsaw. I hardly ever fire up my top handle gas stihl these days.
