I need to get a GW pole saw. I bought the 60V GW chainsaw based off of the recommendations on here in a thread I started and it has been a surprisingly powerful and reliable tool.

They do way more than I expected of them. I bought my chainsaw because I was tired of lugging my Husky around and tired of my camper top smelling of gasoline. I never expected either of them to do what they will actually do.

for your line of work I agree. But for me weekend warrior/lease clean up, I don't something that good or expensive. Does look to be a workhorse though.

Ive had greenworks and a Milwaukee. My greenworks was very good but seemed a little flimsy and broke when I dropped it from a tree stand. Completely my fault but my only complaint was the majority plastic construction. It cut great and batteries lasted a long time. When I decided to replace I decided to go with a Milwaukee system. Right at a yr old the drive system in the saw head stripped out, I had it 13 months and warranty was 12mo. Milwaukee motor is in the handle base and it spins a cable to the saw head. The greenworks motor is in the saw head, I think its a much stronger saw as far as the cutting is concerned but the Milwaukee seemed a little more heavy duty but guess looks can be deceiving. I replaced the saw pole so hopefully this one holds up better. Time will tell. For deer lease and home use I'll take the electric everytime.

              I’m still a little shocked!!
Between my son and I we have cut everything from tallow tree, cedar, mesquite logs and live oak logs and several others and it doesn’t mess around.
I do sharpen the chain pretty regularly.

My buddy at the lease has a green works and it's awesome, but I used a Stihl a couple weeks ago and that's in a class of it's own. I assume it has a price in it's own class too. I used a Milwaukee handheld the other day, and that's a cuttin little SOB!

I still prefer one that burns dinosaur guts because I'm old.

like the others said, if you were happy with it and already have some batteries, just buy another one.

I have a dewalt pole saw that I really like, but the only reason I bought it is because I have dewalt everything so lots of batteries.

I'm on year 3 with my Green Works 40V pole saw, and love it. I don't miss the 2-cycle version AT ALL.

If I have real stuff to do, I still use my Husky or Stihl, but the Stihl pole saw will wear my azz out in a hurry !

I have the Greenworks 40 volt pole saw, blower and chain saw. They all still work great, but only a few years old.

I do have the GW Pro 80V pole saw and it's a beast. A little heavy at times so I use my DeWalt for more frequent cutting on smaller saplings and limbs but when I've a got a bigger job to do I will pull out the GW. Kind of like taking a big tree down with a Stihl 20" bar and then use the lighter 16" to do the cut up job.

I bought the Kobalt 40 Volt because Lowe’s had them on sale, and it’s been great.

Bought a Dewalt last weekend from TSC to match my drills and it works great. Can cut a long time on a single battery.
