Is GreenWorks still the go to for pole saws?

I've had my Greenworks pole saw for many years and has worked great. 8" bar, I also got a weed eater that uses the same batteries.

Well, today cutting small cedar bush/trees at my new house(under construction) it started running slower. Ok, figure it's time to switch batteries. Got back out and it
started doing again & then just stopped with a fresh battery. I then smelled electrical burn smell. Would not run again. Guess I burnt it up. It was a good tool.

Now I need to get another battery pole saw. Is GreenWorks still the TBH go to saw?

Following.............. as my GreenWorks polesaw is beat to death and my chainsaw isn't far behind. I love the battery but not sure they are as tough as gas operated tools. East Texas timber country is constant use so I guess I got my monies worth.

If you already have some batteries for it I would get another like it . I have a Milwaukee and really like it .

Mine have both been great tools, but I’ve used the pole saw much more than the regular one. If mine quit today I’d buy another just like it unless they make a heavier duty one now.

Just lost my Green Works trimmer. Worked great for about 8 yrs, then the head broke. Tried 2 times to get a new head from 'em, and neither negotiation went through. No charge on my card, no product delivered and no response from my communications. It was a good one while it lasted and I may buy another. Then I will have 2 batteries and 2 chargers to go with the new weed whacker.

Been happy with craftsman at deer camp and the lake. But I concur with going with what you have batteries for.
FWIW half price Amazon batteries have been great for craftsman and Dewalt

I have bought a greenworks last fall. I would have never thougt an electric saw would work so well. Used it today to clean up limbs after last nights storms. Way better than my gas stihl

I’ve had one for several years and I have added a chain saw and a hedge trimmer. The hedge trimmer walks through sticker vines etc when doing ranch work. If my set up died today, I would buy another one. I’ve already got my moneys worth and more.

I love my Dewalt with 8" bar. It uses same 20V battery as my drill and is a cutting machine. Has good extension and is very light weight
