At some point you are what you are:

LeClerc has proven over and over, for years, that he can't be trusted. Yes, he'll have a decent streak here and there. Very thankfully he had a great streak at the end of last season. I think it is still very telling that Bochy send Sborz back out to close the WS win.

Latz has the distant stare when on the mound. Yesterday he looked beat from the moment he stepped on the mound. If he has talent, he's lost now.

Jung is proving to be injury prone. A great player when he's on the field. But, he's not on the field near enough.

Seager seems to be good for 30 days or so on the shelf each season for minor ailments. He's a big man that might need to change positions in a season or two. Maybe.

Garcia, i think, has no clue how to hit, except to try to kill the ball. No situational awareness. He is prone to be lazy in the field (witness the easy foul ball he didn't catch earlier in the week), for which he was replaced by Jankowski the following inning.

I think the club can get it together, and make a push for a wild card spot. But time, and games, are wasting.

The line up seems to be reverting to the mean. After a dismal first half they are looking more like the offensive force we remember. Can they keep it up? Even if they do is it too late? Should make for a fun second half.

If the bottom of the lineup and Semien can just keep that two strike approach of making contact and putting it in play I think it will go a long way for this offense.

That was a really good win for the Rangers. Their 8th/9th inning combo of Robertson and Yates has to be one of the best out there.

And Josh Smith continues to tear things up. He absolutely deserved to be on the All Star team and the only reason he was not is his lack of PR.

It now looks like he will be there as Devers is going to pass on the game. That will be awesome for Smitty.
