I'm really curious to how many on here don't even bow hunt at all. I know quite a few myself.
100% with a bow for me.....Bow season through general season. Our lease is 97% bow only. The exceptions being guests/kids for late season mgmt deer and does. I think my last deer killed with a gun was 2010/11ish and that was a doe for sausage on the last weekend after a late October shoulder injury that kept me from bowhunting the remainder of season.
You certainly didn’t waste any time hammering that buck. Glad everything worked out for you.
Hahaha I wish I killed one like that this year. That was my buck from 2021 thread that somebody brought back to the top due to a post by the taxidermist on Instagram.
4 days for me which is the lowest amount ever for me. Had so many other things going on at home and work it just didn't work out.
I did hunt with my kids on 2 other weekends (they were hunting I wasn't).
Having said that both my kids killed a deer (daughter one buck and son a buck and doe), and I killed a buck as well. So we still got a lot of meat. (Not all were on the same place)
None as a deer hunter.
probably 10 sits hog or coyote hintjng
guided wife for two sits. Second was successful
however, I logged almost every day out on the place maintaining multiple feeders, cameras, traps, and water troughs for the deer. Along with the cows.
Retired and finally living on our own hunting grounds.
I love deer hunting more than ever, but not sure if I will actually kill another. I prefer to guide my girls
