Bunch of jump and regular squats today. 184 in total. About 40% of them loaded with 35 lbs.

      Then a 55 minute ruck w/35 lbs.

Just finished a great 40-minute chest session at the gym. It feels rewarding to get a solid workout in, but I've noticed that no matter how much I exercise, the weight seems to come back quickly. It’s been a bit disheartening to see my efforts not translating into long-term results. I’m considering to buy wegovy online to see if it can make a difference. Wegovy is known for its effectiveness in supporting weight loss, and I’m curious about its potential impact on my weight management

Not sure why but this morning was extra tough and I feel flat wore out now.

            5 rounds
            5 minute jog/run
5 minute weighted (loaded pack) step ups

            Then...
round 1 - max pushup; max horizontal pullup
            round 2 - 50% max pushup & pullup
            3 - 50% max pushup & pullup
            4 - 25% max pushup & pullup
            5 - 25% max pushup & pullup

Garmin prescribed rest yesterday. I did a 2 mile ruck with 35# and then went south to help a buddy with some ranch work.

I had to drive to Burleson today, but I did a 30+ min run on the treadmill at the hotel this evening, followed by a short swim in the pool. It’s been awhile since I’ve run on a treadmill.

Pulled the tire this morning for 40 minutes. Then a few simple/easier exercises and stretching to finish up. Another week in the books. Legs are looking forward to a couple days rest.

Sounds like a grueling work out. When you say pulling a tire, are you using a body harness? What size tire??

I skipped Wednesday since we have the grand kids that day. I made it in yesterday for an awesome back and chest work out. I missed today with a major headache behind my right eye. Something must be in the air.

I ran 4.44 miles with my SIL on hills in ETX yesterday. Also managed sixth consecutive day with 15k steps.I Adam and I leave in one week for Utah. I’m going to start tapering down the intensity mid-week to be fully recovered before we leave.

…but first, my 30 yo firefighter SIL wanted me to do a circuit workout with him that involved a tractor tire, a 10 lb sledge hammer and a sled!

Been busy helping out with a 3-D shoot over Friday and Saturday. It was good to get back to the gym for a traps workout earlier today.

It is a 255/70 R16. Inside I have maybe a 15-20 lb block of wood. I'll try and remember to take a picture this evening. Tire is attached to ~7' of chain and then I made a strap to go around my waist out of old fire hose. I tried putting the strap around my chest but it makes it hard to breath. I think I'd need to change up the strap design so it would just be around my shoulders instead of across my chest. Or buy a harness.

Overall I'd say it provides constant resistance but isn't super heavy. The idea is that is supposed to mimic having to walk up a steep incline (mountain). It causes you to lean forward and take small steps. For me, I feel it moreso in my hips than my lower legs.

Today's workout was a 45 minute jog. I am more and more convinced that I dispise running. I'm just not good at it and have always struggled to increase my pace. 45 minutes equaled 3.7 miles for me. Walked for 1 minute.

I did a 30 min run at “recovery” pace (~11:30/mi). Also did some walking lunges, body squats and plain ol jumping jacks.

I’m currently on a 7 day streak of >15k steps.
