    Has anyone else noticed...

Has anyone else noticed that there has been a large spike in break ins and burglaries? I feel since about early December it has increased dramatically. I personally know like 5-6 people who have been broken in to, vehicle stolen, property stolen, etc. how can we put a stop to this nonsense

    I've noticed it too.

Allow God back in this country. He never left but society, government, and the public is pushing him away.

economic circumstances will drive good people to do bad things.
With a good and decent president and congress things will get better one day

I suspect it is the economy causing it. Be more vigilant and don't leave things in your car or truck. Keep your insurance paid!

I agree with both statements above. It's sad that a country founded on strong Christian values is now discriminating against good Christian people. We as Christians need to stand up for what we believe in. Our government is corrupt for the most part and say whatever is needed to say to make that extra $. This next election unfortunately does not look promising. I'm sick and tired of people being politically correct and not profiling. If you look, act, and speak like a low life chances are you are one regardless of race. So why not profile. That my opinion. Take it or leave it.

Sorry for the rant. Just tired of good people getting the shaft. We are the ones paying for these low life's welfare and medical bills. But yet we get burglarized, judged for being god fearing, tax paying, gun right supporting citizens. It's unbelievable.

It always happens right after Christmas when homes are filled with new gadgets.

I have to agree with brunner. Profiling is the only way to go.

I think it is because of the tough economy. Also, the increase of people using meth...at least in north east Texas I have seen that.

While in Walmart yesterday at lunch someone was caught stealing. The clerk said it was the third one that day.

It seems to me this isnt going to stop till the court systems can get it right for a change.
Do i think a first timer should get 40 years for theft, maybe not, but he shouldnt get a slap on the wrist, 2 days in jail, and turned loose on the public again either. I feel the courts and system are over run and their answer is to give these light sentences so they dont have to house and feed the criminal. So they are turned back out on the public.
